He knew both families. The groom is Carl Lindner III. Grandson of the late billionaire Carl Lindner of Cincinnati.
Carl’s wife still lives down the street from me, on Shawnee Run Rd next to Camargo Country Club. Carl III lives on Whitegate Lane. Google Map them! I’ll look up and wave to you!
They mentioned this on Fox & Friends this a.m. and joked about Trump and Abe being “wedding crashers”. They said that Trump had actually received a wedding invitation and RSVP’d that he would try to stop by if he could.
One of my sister’s friends got married about 20 years ago (she is/was my friend, too). She had a lovely reception and it just happened to be in the same place that the PM of Japan was staying at the time. I happened to be in the hallway when he and his entourage/security came by and I invited them in to the reception. He danced with the bride, took pictures and created some wishes for the bride and groom on paper in Japanese. It was very cool!
waving! When I lived in Cinti many years ago it was in the White Oak area... before the great renovations on the riverfront and downtown spruce up. Nice people for sure. We were in the MUCH LESS affluent area

White Oak has a new, beautiful high school. My kid’s school plays in a district basketball tournament that White Oak hosts every year.
Affluence of character in White Oak is obvious every time we go back there! Nice people!
