BREAKING: CMC on Lock Down After Bomb Threat
**Update** 10:40 a.m.
Leadville Today just spoke to Lake County Office of Emergency Managements Mike McHargue who confirmed that there had been a bomb threat at Colorado Mountain College in Leadville. As of now, no such device has been discovered by officials who are conducting a full investigation right now. The suspect who made the threat is in police custody.
Students, employees and staff have been secured (in lock down) in one of these two building on campus: The cafeteria or the students residence hall. McHargue stated there was NOT an evacuation order for students to leave campus.
Lake County School District Superintendent Wendy Wyman did confirm that schools have been placed on lock-out as a precaution. That status conducts regular school classes and business within the building, but limits access in and out of facilities. Stay tuned for updates.
