I had a friend (notice the word ‘had’) who has a PhD in Developmental Psychology. She told me that the American Association of Psychiatrists and Psychologists reclassified homosexuality as a ‘variation on normal’, back in the 70’s. I pointed out to her then, that if homosexuality was ‘normal’ then our species would likely die out. She was not amused. And now whenever I see any spokesperson from these elites, they are always gay or lesbian......I think this area of medicine has been severely compromised by those who are abnormal, but want to pretend they are the actual normal. Yes, the Left has gone wacko and sadly they are taking about 50% of Americans with them.
I would agree that Psychology is a field which has made (in my opinion) very little progress over the past few decades. It has largely become an affirmation of perversion and the chemical treatment of almost everybody.
The real notion of “counseling” and helping people to handle their own thoughts and emotions in a more productive — more normal — manner seems to have gone out the window.
At some point, the Marxism, the PC and the homosexuality will be expunged from certain fields and their will be a Renaissance of science with great advancement.
For non-medical areas: I think it’s difficult to actually write History these days. The conclusions and the way of viewing the past has already been established: we know what is “correct”. But at some point, people will look with fresh eyes and start to really see what has happened to western civilization over the past 300 years or so. It will change things but it won’t happen in my lifetime.
Homosexuality is normal, it has been around for eons even in the animal kingdom. That doesn’t mean it causes anything amazing and no, I wouldn’t wish it on my child. However, I have close friends with kids who have announced, parents of my daughter’s friends who have announced, my nephew has announced....There is a big continuum of “normal”.
