Slim chance “Baker” will continue to take his medication.
A childhood friend of my kids went schizophrenic, not before obsessing over one of my teenage daughters.
He put his mother through hell as his disease progressed. In and out of treatment centers several times, jumping off a building and breaking his legs. It ultimately was his mother’s responsibility to watch over him.
A few years ago, he decided he needed to murder his mother on the day before Halloween. He chased her out of the shower with a knife and bludgeoned her to death on the front lawn of their home.
He is imprisoned in a low to mid security Broward County Florida Jail, and has not gone to trial. This facility holds mentally ill lawbreakers. I check frequently to be sure he is still in there seeing that he was obsessed with my daughter, and knows well where we live. He has attacked correctional officers twice while incarcerated.
I am concerned he will go to trial and have the same outcome as “Baker”.
