And Trump should absolutely issue said disaster declaration for two reasons. First you don’t play politics with disasters. There is not a town or city in the country that is not vulnerable to something. Disasters are not blue or red. And secondly because it will demonstrate that Trump is the bigger man and sees his job as being President of ALL the United States, not just the ones that voted for him.

... And why shouldn’t the Governor be a bigger man and follow the laws to get Federal Funds? It’s time we stop bowing down to the lawbreakers and reward the law abiding. Simply enforce the existing laws. I appreciate your conciliatory approach, but we have two to four years to fix the nonsense that we have come to accept.

Don't play with disasters? What are you talking about?

They play with our safety and lives. They aid and abet criminals who harm Americans. The results of their punitive murderous policies have resulted in tens of hundreds of thousands of American victims who were stabbed, robbed, shot, knifed, murdered, run over, maimed, looted, burglarized and conned.

100% Agree - Trump should issue the declaration right away and offer any assistance that the state may need. Disasters should never be political.

How many times has taking the high road helped conservatives?

Zero

If CA has money for illegals and bloated state pensions, they can fund their own disaster.

If my son blew his paycheck on video games and junk food, then wanted me to fix his car for him - nothing doing.

If it was a big one like Katrina, one of the big hurricanes, a major earthquake, or possibly a fire like SF had in the early part of the last century I might agree with you but this is small potatoes comparatively.

Brown has indicated he and Cali is willing to go it alone without federal help. Alrighty then; let them. They are so far in the hole right now they will never dig their way out of their pension deficit and unfunded debt. Let them show us just how good they are in keeping their state going without money for welfare recipients and food stamps; particularly those who should not be here. They have the worst roads in the country with only 3% of the states having worse roads and they are probably bordering Canada where they barely have time to fix the roads let alone put new ones in.

BTW; you don’t list your state in your profile. You should do that first chance you get so folks know where you’re coming from.
