Uh, airplanes go 660 and don't need track maintenance.

The big problem is that one has to butt crack Mecca while dealing with the shoe-Islam thing.

If we had 200 mph trains city center to city center I would take it if less than a 1000 mile journey. When one considers getting to and from the airport and security it is not much difference in time. Over 1000 miles I would take the plane.

However, this should not be subsidized with my tax dollars. If it is economically competitive good. If it is not, forget it.
