Quota boy only reads things written for him.
That includes his fake book.
His big achievement in life was that once he had a thought.
Not an original one.
But a thought nonetheless.
The issue is, on people from many of these foreign countries, any kind of vetting (never mind EXTREME vetting) is impossible.
It is impossible. They don’t have officials, police, or data in those countries who would be willing to share it with us. We have to take the word of people whose religion compels them to lie to advance the cause of Islam.
The only way would be to have highly trained people who are skilled at interrogation and spotting deception, and those people are too scarce and expensive to be used for that.
We simply cannot separate the wheat from the terrorist chaff. Can’t be done.
Or, as James Carville once called it, "boob-bait for the bubbas."
... and his only legacy 50 years from now will be that he was "the first black president" ... oh, and the worst president ever.
We obviously need extreme vetting - for judges.
No more Earl Warrens.
Based on the headline, I thought extreme vetting of Obama was finally going to begin.
I was hoping someone would point this out. You can’t exactly call the city clerk in downtown Mogadishu for a records search. There can’t be any extreme vetting. Which means refugees from terrorist countries can’t come in, based on their failure to make it through the vetting process, not our unwillingness to accept them.
I’ve assumed all along that this was Trump’s grand plan. The net effect will be to keep the refugees out. It just won’t be Trump’s fault that they can’t make it through a perfectly reasonable vetting process.
If that is his plan, I would be fine with it. The problem is that I think they bring them here before vetting them. They sure won't send them back. If they vetted them in their own country before putting them on a plane or boat to come here, that might work brilliantly. I don't know how it is done currently.
Well, the 9th Circuit seems to think they have Constitutional rights before they ever enter the US, so they should be vetted prior to entry as well.
