The Catholic church appears to have forgotten what the Crusades were all about.

CINOs would react to this meeting with joy and applause.*Real* Catholics,if there are any in that area, would react silently...and perhaps stop attending Mass in the area and giving to parishes there.
So that only leaves a couple of plausible suspects.

While there is no way to know why someone cut the hands and fingers off the statue My bet is that it was the Muslim "guests" who did it. Knowing that the bishop and the lying media would blame it on wicked Christian conservatives.
Oh, sure. Good, orthodox Catholics would attack Joseph and Jesus--not.

“it would actually ignite a counter movement of compassion”
Does he think this will also occur in Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries?
Can someone remind him what happened in northern France to a priest earlier this year after an outreach program and a donation of land by the Catholic church?

Thats the day the bishop of San Jose met with Muslim leaders in a show of solidarity. Oh. My. Such ignorance of the threat we face.

So where is the security video?
There is a lot of money and sympathy to be had from FAKE episodes of “hate”, like I suspect this one to be.

Chopping off hands... what culture does that?
Were the Sith offended by not being invited to the meeting... or could it be an expression of dominance by a group represented in the room?

A couple of fingers now, a head later.
It is funny how the world is spending billions in security because of these Dark Ages mutants.

The fact is that no one knows who did this, or why. Statues have long been targets for vandalism in Catholic churches. When I was a kid, someone stole a large statue from my (Catholic) church and dumped it in a canal two miles away.
To: nickcarraway
A quick Google search will reveal numerous stories - many from the last year or two - about Catholic churches all around the country being vandalized in various ways: statues smashed or beheaded, pulpits smashed, tabernacles stolen or smashed, crucifixes smashed or inverted, communion wafers scattered on the floor, paintings defaced or stabbed, human feces smeared on religious objects or left on the floor, obscene graffiti, pro-gay graffiti, pro-Islam graffiti, etc.
I found all that in a five-minute search. I would therefore hesitate to attach any specific meaning to the hands being cut off of this statue.

Draw cartoon pictures on mosques of the mooslim pedophile mohammad eating children. Then blame it on mooslims.
