If Gov. Charlie Baker really wants to prove his anti-Donald Trump street cred, he'll open the State House to illegal immigrants.

That way he can help deal with the overflow of all the illegals who will seek sanctuary from deportation in Boston Mayor Marty Walsh's City Hall.

The mayor, who went ballistic over the temporary initiation of extreme vetting of refugees and immigrants from seven predominantly Muslim countries, invited threatened illegal immigrants to seek safety in City Hall

Symbolism over substance.

Does this Tall Deval think he has a prayer for reelection? I’d say at least half of Massachusetts Republicans will not bother going to the polls to vote for this anti-Trump RINO. Btw, that low figure of 50% is with the expectation that his opponent will be some moonbat like Maura Healy. There is no future in Massachusetts for real Americans.

Set up refugee encampments at Martha’s Vineyard and in the Berkshires. Let’s see how these “compassionate” white liberals act when given a little taste of their own policy medicine. You can bet they won’t be pleased with that. Refugees and illegals are fine to work at their companies as laborers or serve as domestic help in their palatial mansions and condos, but don’t you dare let them live in their exclusive neighborhoods where they might actually come into contact with them!

Well put.

'fraid so. I voted (without enthusiasm) for Charlie. In his honor, I plan on blanking the top of the ballot next time around.

There's something in the water here in the gay state, turns rational people into jelly.

I couldn’t bring myself to vote for this fraud. I voted for Scott Lively. He didn’t have a prayer but there was no way I could have voted for this POS. Charlie Baker and his minions are nothing more than the republican enablers of the MA demonrats.

That being said, there are true conservative, stand up Republicans in our legislature and within the party. Unfortunately, Charlie and his trolls sell them out consistently.

I’m to the point where I think for libtopias, worse is better. If the major of the progressive inhabitants want Somerville and Cambridge and Boston to be sanctuary cities, I say foster it. I say create more social programs and hire more translators for the dozen-plus Amerindian dialects and then give generous assistance to all their migrating relatives. I just hope I’m somewhere else by then and not able to enjoy the diverse vibrancy of the coming São Paulo on the Charles.

The thing about the gay state that we consistently shove under the rug: our three major business are all under the firm grip of Govt regs, meaning they're very cozy homes for rent-seekers. If the barriers ever come down and market forces came fully to bear on 1) Higher Ed, 2) Sickcare and 3) Asset Management, many of my neighbors would be shocked, just shocked, at how their cushy lifestyles would change.

And Baker is the personification of this environment - he's a damn health insurance exec - yeah, that's a successful industry! He's undoubtedly a swamp creature.
