Tesla in Fremont California once was paying a guy from Slovenia to **design** its new body shipping facility for $5 per hour, maybe 16 hours per day 6 days a week.

Crying a river here. Marginally talented Currys not being able to deflate wages. Silicon Valley mostly filled with fly-by-night vaporware companies anyhow.

“People don’t understand,” he said. “Labor will move abroad if you don’t let companies bring people in.”

So either let them bring H-1Bs and not hire U.S. resources for the job or send the work offshore and not hire U.S. resources for the job. Either way U.S. workers lose.

Industry hacks and politicians taking bribes think H-1Bs are a good thing.

Everyone else knows that they are a scam that hurts American workers.

The H1B Program is to skilled labor, what illegal aliens are to unskilled... it is corrupt and broken and cannot be fixed and abused wholesale. It needs gone.

Should read: “Silicon Valley technology firms, worried about their ability to bring LOWER WAGE foreign workers to the U.S. IN ORDER TO DISPLACE AMERICAN WORKERS ....”

Oh and reading the article WSJ seems to think Trump had good relations with Silicon Valley to begin with or should I say Trump had good relations with most on the Autism spectrum Silicon Valley CEOs. Ummm WSJ do some self fact checking. The Godless technocrats in California were all in for Satan in the election, she got a huge bulk of their money. As a 20 year technology veteran, I can architect circles around any Curry or Stanford grad in Silicon Valley. America really doesn’t need them. The real innovation is happening out away from there. I know UBER and Google, what would we ever do without cabs you can hail form your smartphone or sketchy email and document service in the cloud.<</sarcasm>>

Not 10% of current H1B holders could withstand a resume audit.

Exactly. The American workers these companies can’t outsource by building foreign plants, they want to replace by bringing in low-wage third worlders.

This is an issue which should be addressed by our college and universities. Once we start relying on a significant number of foreign workers with degrees because we don’t have enough talent, schools own the area of these employees should;d step up with programs and increase in enrollment in those areas.

Or, do we have the people and they re just not being hired?

not 1% could withstand the original law that required that these visas only be given to persons where a native born could not be found to fill the job.

An equation that relies (not just in part but in its entirety) upon blocking the use of Tariffs that the founding fathers underfunded the economy and the government with.

Not only Resume audit but also Degree Audit. They make up everything, even pay someone else to give interview.
