Years ago, Jeb Bush's wife was detained by US Customs..., turned out she failed to declare Jewelry worth THOUSANDS! She said it was just because she didn't want Jeb to find out how much she had spent (great excuse for falsifying federal forms... and lying to federal officers!) No enforcement action was taken for "some reason"..., I don't advise you to try such a stunt!

Yea if you show up at the border wearing a Klan outfit, a Nazi uniform, a ISIS T-shirt or a hijab I think Customs should take a second look at you. If you want to make statements with your attire don't complain about the outcome.
I and fiancé were pulled out of line and questioned/harassed because we declared sausage on that little green declaration paper.
Lesson Learned: don’t ever declare sausage.
This was the trip where I specifically went through Amsterdam so I could smoke pot in Amsterdam once in my life.
