These days they try not to give much coverage to people who get hit by trains because trains are the favored means of transportation of the left. But believe me it happens much more frequently than most people are aware especially by Amtrack trains who are allowed to speed through heavily populated urban areas at much faster speeds than freight trains. And as you can see in the video... unless they are blowing their horns you do not hear them coming at those speeds.
There is a horn operating rule that reqiueres the engineer to blow one long blast when passing a station.
