Where’s the laser system ?

I worked on ballistic missile defense back when it was SDIO. Lots of people laughed at us, called it "Star Wars," in other words, fiction. No one laughs anymore, I think.

You can thank Obama and H Clinton for this one. When they brokered the deal with Iran, it forced the release of frozen money in banks controlled by different countries around the world.

Iran’s assets were first frozen by U.S. president Jimmy Carter in 1979 totaling $400M. But Iran’s “frozen” money has begun to thaw from banks in other nations.

For years, Iran had tens of billions of dollars worth of funds that were languishing in banks, unable to be used, because of global sanctions. Iran’s central bank announced that the nation has successfully transferred billions worth of assets from banks in South Korea and Japan to banks in Germany and the United Arab Emirates since the loosening by the deal with the US. The White House also referred to the $100 billion figure in a summary it released of the nuclear agreement between Iran and the United States, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany.

So, thanks to Obama and Clinton, Iran is back in business of nuclear proliferation along with the another possibility. There has been some concern that Iran might use part of the money it’s now recovering to fund opponents of U.S. policy in the Middle East, including the Lebanese Shiite militia Hezbollah, the Palestinian militant group Hamas, and the Syrian government.

Thanks Barrack and Hilary for all you’ve done.
