They are angry, sad, scared, outraged. And they complain, march, holler and insist the nation is in chaos. And so it goes for Democrats and hefty populations of liberals and progressives who are still upset over President Trumps victory. The phenomenon is billed as Trump derangement syndrome by Sen. Ted Cruz, political analyst Seton Motley and other observers. But the public may soon develop its own case of derangement fatigue as the appeal of such noisy fare wears thin.
Trump derangement syndrome could end up helping President Trump, writes John Fund, national affairs correspondent for National Review. Trumps best asset may be his unhinged opponents. Permanent outrage and hysterical doom-mongering do not attract moderate voters. The bad news for Democrats is that the fires of protest could burn so brightly that they alienate moderate voters and threaten any Democrats who decline to throw gasoline on the fires.
This is a viable dynamic now that the 2018 midterms have materialized on the horizon and Democratic fundraising are underway. But even now, it looks daunting for Dems.
Passionate protests against Donald Trumps presidency have swelled the ranks of Democratic activists, but their new enthusiasm faces a hard reality: Republicans remain well positioned to retain their grip on power in the 2018 elections, says David A. Lieb an Associated Press correspondent. While Republicans hold only a slim majority in the U.S. Senate, Democrats occupy most of the seats up for election in two years. That means they must play defense against Republicans, especially in 10 states that Trump won. In the U.S. House, Republicans will be aided by favorable district boundaries that were drawn to maintain GOP political dominance.

All that two minute hate gets exhausting.
We’re barely three weeks in the Trump Era and the Left needs to keep being outraged.
Confirmation of DeVos should provoke a new spasm of Dem principles.
We will rack up conservative senators and judges! Meanwhile the libs are eating their faces off, ETFO, and exploding and imploding at the same time!
To prove how “crazy” Trump is...
Democrats are entering the lunatic crazy human olympics! And so far, they are winning every damn gold medal...
I applaud their enthusiasm.
I do hope these folks understand gun rights, the second amendment and that it’s so they can have their constitutionally protected right to ATTEMPT to take “back their country”.
But I’d also remind them that while they are entitled to make the “attempt”, they aren’t entitled to survive...
Those Democrat protesters are damaging and vandalizing property belonging to liberals. For instance, the limo set on fire during the Inaugural Balls was owned by a Muslim-American liberal, a major loss to him. Busting windows on liberal-owned storefronts in Berkeley, good going! Their rage is going to turn many liberals into conservatives!
"keep burning up their gas...."
The Democrat lunic Express
The only thing they could do to make their current strategy even more effective would be to elect Keith Ellison as DNC chairman.
They’d be really unbeatable then.
Speaking of which, what happened to Black Lives Matter protests and the Knock-Out Game?
And the lovely Jehmu Greene as co-chair.
That’s actually an apropos assessment: Democrats are shooting up bath salts on Live TV and are damned proud of it.
Just like "Occupy Wall Street", the Soros/DNC machine uses what it needs in victim groups. The victim groups don't run without money and the green light. BLM does not matter anymore. The new victim on the block is the Muslim immigrant (colonizer).
Keep it up Dems. I have never laughed at so many idiots and it is every day! Best election ever.
There are no berserkers here....
Keep it up, DIMs. You will cement the lunatic vote.
Am I wrong to think that these conditions are dangerous, that something catastrophic could ensue?
Definitely, the always thoughtful and coherent Shamu should be co chair.
