Like it or not it's location, location, location. Not everyone lets politics run (or ruin) their lives and $950,000 is the (free) market price.

Unlike those ignorant Texans in Waco buying into the Chip and Joanna Gaines scam of buying a "ship lap fixer upper" for $75,000, Then have that unfunny retarded Chip remodel it for their "all in budget" of $250,000...in a $75,000 neighborhood...

Oh yea and at the end of the show they don't even get to keep the furniture...Flip or Flop furniture is staged for the sale IOW full disclosure.

I understand the real estate rule (location), but I disagree with what you said about Chip and Joanna Gaines.

They are good, decent, Christian people. Our daughter had friends of a friend who were on the show. They could not say enough about how well they were treated, and their home renovation was amazing.

Yes, the show is staged at the end for the final reveal before the cameras, but it isn't a scam. They tell the contestants that they can purchase some of the pieces and things staged. It's a business, not a welfare program. Some of the furniture you see it the couple's own furniture that was moved into the completed house.

I would rather live in Waco TX on some of the property shown (ranches, farms, land) than in the land of chain link fences in part of CA and 900 sq ft houses that go for a million bucks. Moreover, that couple on Flip or Flop are a mess, especially the Muslim husband (who denies he is a Muslim).

My Daughter says the time on the market for homes in Dallas is measured in hours.

My son sold his house in Keller (DFW area) last fall. The realtor wouldn't let him list it until he was literally ready to get out. It sold in less than 24 hours for over $150,000 more than he paid for it 7 years ago. The man that bought it paid $8000 over asking! I guess he'd had one or two get away from him.

My son bought a similar house for far less in another area of Texas.
