Senate Democrats said they plan to hold the floor of the chamber for the next 24 hours, leading up to the vote to confirm President Donald Trump's choice to be education secretary, in hopes of drawing enough attention to the issue to derail Betsy DeVos' nomination. While the Democrats decision to work overnight adds publicity to the topic, the party does not have the numbers to block a final confirmation vote and DeVos is still expected to be voted on for final confirmation Tuesday. "Democrats will hold the floor for the next 24 hours, until the final vote, to do everything we can to persuade just one more Republican to join us," Sen. Patty Murray of Washington said Monday. "And I strongly encourage people across the country to join us — to double down on your advocacy — and to keep making your voices heard for these last 24 hours."

Well, since they have absolutely no power to control anything, no any chips to play with and have lost historic numbers of seats at all levels of government, all they can do is throw hissy fits instead...have fun losers.

Which leads me to ask, why the hell is the GOP allowing this nonsense??? Go nuclear, get this shit done and over with and move on to making America great again. Or, we can sit here and let the anti-American leftist liberals walk all over us.

Attention whores. It’s all about getting their declining base to think they are doing something in line with the ‘resistance’.

Hey democrats, why not don head masks and carry batons like your kindred ghouls of Berkeley?

In the runup to GW Bush’s last election I attended a rally in a democrat run area. They changed the venue at the last minute requiring the chartering of buses to get people to the rally point from the offsite parking area.

Then, in the interest of guest comfort, the fire department or somebody hosed down the field to keep dust down. We were standing in 4-6” of mud even though it had not rained a drop in weeks.

I put it down to a series of democrat dirty tricks. They are due a payback. Turn on the AC after 5pm to cut down on the hot air emanating from the chamber.

Funny story: we had to wait several hours to get everyone on buses after the rally. Our kids and lots of others were starting to lose it. I walked over to the community college across the field to get them some candy bars or something to distract them. I saw a campus police officer and asked him where a candy machine was. I told him about the kids. He said to follow him and took me to their office. He gave me a huge bag of fun size candy bars and told me to pass them out to all the kids. After taking care of the kids in my group, I walked to all the others in the crowd. Seeing 4-5 kids, I asked if they wanted some candy. Their eyes melted then they looked down to the ground and said “we shouldn’t.” Realized my mistake, I said in a voice loud enough for their parents to hear “Let’s try again, would you like some of these candy bars that those police officers over there told me to pass out?” (the cops were in sight) The kids looked at their parents who smiled and nodded. I commended the kids for handling that exactly the right way and refusing my initial offer.

What a flaking idiot! We spoke loud and clear last Nov 8, Patty. Remember?

Payback is such a bitch, right bitch?

There needs to be a version of what the sniper told his target: “You can run but you’ll just die tired.” They can stay, hold the floor, splutter on about their leftist nonsense but, in the end, they’ll just cast a “NO” vote without effect as Pence presides with the tie-breaking vote while they missed a night of sleep to preach to one another. Based on another article posted, this will be repeated several more times as they choose other hills to “die on” that become meaningless outside their echo-chamber caucus room.

What a cutie-pie.

I like seeing that each time as much as the first time.

Earth to Democrats, you’ll still be the minority tomorrow.

As soon as the DeVos nomination is secured (with the vote of Jeff Sessions), there is no excuse to let the Dims drag out the vote on Sessions any longer. Unless McConnell is playing toesie with Schumer.
