(Austin, Texas) Judge Wears Anti-Trump Pussy Hat to Court
Law Newz ^ | February 5, 2016 | Alberto Luperon

Travis County Judge Sarah Eckhardt has been rocking headgear with strong anti-Trump symbolism: The Pussy hat. To say it's politically charged is like saying third-rails are shocking: These hats are pointed symbols in opposition to President Donald Trump, who said in an infamous 2005 video that he grabbed women by their privates. That footage became controversial because the action meets legal definitions of sexual assault if done without consent.

My guess is if the average employee in Corp America did this, the person would be hauled off to HR and likely terminated for vulgar, obscene, pornography in the workplace.

Why does a judge feel like this behavior is appropriate in the courtroom....

Even after multiple threads, this OLD click-bait is still coming.

It was NOT in court.

“Why does a judge feel like this behavior is appropriate in the courtroom....”

Maybe because she did not wear the hat in a courtroom.

“Why does a judge feel like this behavior is appropriate in the courtroom.... “

Why do people make comments without reading the story ...

And my guess is that you better not make political statements in her court. She wouldn’t tolerate such unless you shared her views.

She has shown herself to be a biased judge and should be removed from the bench.

You remember incorrectly.

And they weren’t biker threads. They were gangland shooting threads.

I wonder how she felt when President Clinton forced himself on Kathleen Wiley? Did she protest that, or did she celebrate Bill’s attempted rape? All Trump did was talk about it and this judge loses it.

In Commissies Court, that is all they do is make political statements.

“She has shown herself to be a biased judge and should be removed from the bench.”

She sits in a chair and there is no “bench” associated with her job.

“Not clicking on sources I do not recognize.”

Then, either,

1. Don’t comment on what you don’t know anything about, or

2. Google and find the real dope.

It was NOT in court.

Actually it was in a court: the Travis County Commissioners Court where Sarah Eckhardt is the County Judge.

She has the Obama Hangover. She's been drunk on lala land and sobering up is hard. She deserves pity.

Yes, she is biased, biased just like your congressman, my congressman and every other non-judicial elected official in the country.

And I don’t think we remove our elected officials for being biased.

Actually she is NOT in the judicial branch, she is executive/administrative branch.

She is an elected politician.

Fair enough.

Now, can you please explain to me what would happen to just about anyone for wearing head gear like that to work?

They would be written up. If they didn’t stop, they would be fired. If they found other ways to politicize the work environment, they would be fired.

This is a public employee. The general public pays her salary. She serves both Republicans and Democrats.

She needs to show some proper work place decorum.
