In today's battle for the future of America, one side is calling the other side "Nazis" and "Fascists."
But to determine the truth, shouldn't we compare each side to the actual historical groups who called themselves "Nazis" and "Fascists."
Both Hitler's Nazis and Mussolini's Fascist gained power by:
- Crashing and disrupting their opponents' political rallies
- Violently shutting down attempts of their opponents to speak publicly
- Taking over college campuses and demanding ideological compliance and the removal of opposition faculty and students
- And many other similar methods we can see today across our country.
But which of today's groups are displaying Nazi and Fascist behavior?
Was it Trump supporters (backed by his campaign) who were sent to disrupt Hillary rallies?
Was it Trump supporters who went to riot in Berkeley to stop a speaker?
Is it Trump supporters who have been driving free speech and those who dare engage in it off America's campuses?
Who are the Nazis and Fascists?
As one quote I saw went, unattributed: our grandparents died fighting the nazis and fascists so that we could be called nazis and fascists for believing the same things they believed.
