Oranges and apples here....hiring veterans in the past is not the same as hiring refugees. Got it?
Thank you for your service. But you can keep your coffee.
Theyve only hit 8,800 and thats including spouses

yes but to get to 8,800 they had to add the spouses...
one wonders just how low the actual number of veterans might be..
we’re suppose to be impressed by the thousands of veterans Starbucks employs but without real numbers this could mean any number...8,000 spouses and 800 veterans for instance ...
Most of these people live on the dole — out of over one million in Germany only a very small handful have jobs. Pretty much the same every where - we owe them, you know ... and if you don’t give them what they want they will kill you. So there.
Once upon a time I bought a bottle version of their iced vanilla coffee in a roadside convenience store. That was a long time ago though. I found different suppliers of similar products available most times on the same shelf. Cheaper too. Good thing the government doesn’t force me to buy coffee products like they do health insurance products.
One piece of candy won’t make a big pile of crap taste any better.
Absolutely. Hell, I’ll even take my Mr. Coffee and Folgers medium roast over them any day, plus I can enjoy my coffee in my home, away from hipsters and all.
I’m just observing that if vets don’t want the jobs, Starbucks can’t hire them.
Exactly how veteran friendly are Syrian refugees going to be, considering some of them will be folks you faced on the battle-field.
Some of these folks are nomadic people, and they have fought in other theaters, not just Syria.
Starbucks announced this hot-shot plan to hire 10,000 refugees just after Trump sought to block dangerous refugees from the region.
Good luck folks...
Ergo I’m curious how well the “10,000 refugees” will work out, between number of actual accepted applicants and subsequent work ethic.
Theyre just like Walmart. Publicly, they say that they support our nations veterans and are very much willing to employ them, but in reality, its just spewing feel-good crap.””
Or they hire one and put him at the front door as a greeter.
A very good thing.
10 thousand Syrian "refugees" who would displace American workers (who need the work!), including future vets and military spouses?
A very bad thing.
I recall reading something to the effect that 10 positives do not erase one negative, marketing and public relations-wise.
I happen to like Starbucks coffee, but I have no (as in zero) intention of ever going back.
The choices available to me when I want to splurge on a coffee are abundant.
And a the best benefit?
I can feel good about myself and my pro-American choices.
.
eew The immigrants wipe their butts with their hands.
Drown in your expensive lattes.
Just ordered some BRCC product. They need to replenish their stock, though. Most of the coffee was out of stock when I looked, last night.
Quote From The 1940 Movie "The Ghost Breakers"
A work friend bot us some Starbucks coffee last week-end...and it was horrible.
I've never been in one of their places...and won't ever.
