If Rex Tillerson lives up to the tone, clarity and quiet strength of his speech, then we have an SoS who will serve us well and a blessed relief after the last two. He will be a mature and powerful voice in the Trump Cabinet. I found the speech measured, subtle, sincere, grounded and sprinkled with humor. His simple and highly appropriate watchwords of Accountability, Honesty and Respect resonate but will be more difficult to sustain in Foggy Bottom than one might think. Make no mistake, the serious and weighty comments on the importance of the safety of FSOs and other State Department employees was deliberate and justified.

I was sitting in the doctor’s office when his speech came on. They had the TV on CNN, and I was surprised that they didn’t cut away for a commercial. I didn’t get to see the whole thing as they called me for my appointment, but what I did hear was good, and it seemed he had a good response from those who attended.

I watched his speech and when Tillerson said "Do your job", a Bill Belichic line, I couldn't help but chuckle to myself. -Tom

Isn’t it nice to have people running the Federal government who love America and want us to succeed?

What a refreshing change from the Democrats.

I have a strong feeling that when history looks back on the Trump administration
that it will be revered to have held as many significant members of INTEGRITY
as those in the group of ORIGINAL framers of the Constitution.

Sometimes I feel bad for and embarrassed that these brilliant and decent people are giving their lives in service of this freaked out screwball nation of too many leftist morons.

One thing I am confident of, if he rose from the bottom rung on the ladder to become the CEO of ExxonMobil, he is an outstanding executive.

However, he is now leading a State Department which institutionally is opposed to everything President Trump and we stand for, and these people are protected by civil service laws and anti-American globalists on both the left and neocon side in Congress and the media.

The State Department needs a massive overhaul in personnel and function to become an agency that advocates for the interests of Americans around the world instead of an agency that advocates in Washington for the interest of other countries and globalists.

Tillerson’s disgusting push of the homo agenda into the BSA shows that he has neither the judgement nor temperament to hold any office.

The sooner we are rid of him the better.
