The New York Times coverage of alleged sexual assault on college campuses seems of a piece with the leftist bias I noticed within the Times newsroom regarding climate change, gay marriage, abortion, affirmative action, labor, and other hot-button issues.
Tom Jolly, New York Times sports editor, confessed in February 2008 that he regretted aspects of his papers much-criticized coverage of the Duke lacrosse case. He vowed to do better. Knowledge gained by hindsight has informed our approach to other stories since then, said Jolly, who later became an associate managing editor.
But The Times did not do better. Its handling of recent campus sexual assault cases has been pervaded by the same biases that drove its Duke lacrosse coverage. The paper has continued to unquestioningly accept alleged victims stories while omitting evidence that might harm their credibility. Bath House Barry, the media, and the Democrats did the exact same thing to our brave military warriors. All straight men were labeled as rapists. All were abused and sent to indoctrination training ad nauseum. It was an assault on men, on fathers, and on Christians in the military.
If there was this much rape on college campuses, then there would be as much rape of 20 somethings and non college 18-22 year olds, unless someone is assuming that college causes rape. I don’t. But its possible that college causes rape accusations.
Students have a better chance of being assaulted by a SOROS rent a mob member protesting Trump than they have being raped.
Women have achieved equality, as defined by liberals. But it’s never enough for liberals. They can’t be equal, they have have to be victims. So what better victim class that a rape victim. Even if it doesn’t exist just define everything as rape and TUH-DUH, a new generation of victims. Had a drunken make-out session with some guy (lesbians can’t rape because, well, they’re girls) and regret it three weeks later? YOU’RE a victim. Break up with a guy and want to destroy his life? THU-DUH. You’re a rape victim. Get smiled at by a guy in class? YOU’RE a rape victim.
I advised the younger men I know DO NOT ENGAGE AT ALL with women on campus. Get your degree and get out. Don’t talk to women, don’t open doors for them, don’t help them, don’t even acknowledge them.
