CNN has also learned details about the Friday phone call between Trump and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, who canceled an in-person visit with Trump after the US President insisted Mexico pay for a border wall between the two countries. According to an excerpt of the transcript of the call with Peña Nieto provided to CNN, Trump said, "You have some pretty tough hombres in Mexico that you may need help with. We are willing to help with that big-league, but they have be knocked out and you have not done a good job knocking them out." Trump made an offer to help Peña Nieto with the drug cartels. The excerpt of the transcript obtained by CNN differs with an official internal readout of the call that wrongly suggested Trump was contemplating sending troops to the border in a hostile way. The Associated Press report said Trump threatened to send US troops to stop criminals in Mexico unless the government did more to control them, but both the US and Mexican governments denied details from the story. Sources described the AP's reporting as being based upon a readout -- written by aides -- not a transcript. Spicer described the call with Peña Nieto as "productive."

The Corrupt News Networks gets it wrong yet again.
Please use the actual title: Trump had heated exchange with Australian PM, talked ‘tough hombres’ with Mexican leader

CNN.
The AP based their original misreport on a transcript, which turned out to be some kind of written readout by 'aides'. How did they get access to that? I hope the Trump people are looking into these leaks.
There are WAY too many leaks. Who the hell is a hold over from the Obama administration? Anyone that is a “career” person that worked in the Obama admin is a suspect. None of those people should be in any proximity to Trump.
Who es mas fake? CNN or AP?
This time it appears AP was the fake. But CNN could be making it up too. You can’t trust any of these people!
I can’t figure out what’s going on.
either:
A. Fake leaked transcripts made up by the MSM.
B. Real leaked transcripts.
C. Trump (as John Miller) put out fake transcripts to manipulate the news cycle for reasons unknown.
D. Trump running another sting operation on his staff.
Gene Eric, my take on this is that CNN was challenging the A.P. report, which charged Trump with threatening to enter Mexico unilaterally.
CNN states that all Trump offered to do was help if Mexico wanted the help.
In this instance, I believe CNN got it right.
If it’s going to cover things accurately and not spin it negatively, that’s fine with me.
Original posts should have the actual headline and the actual news, not editorial comments and made up headlines. Put your assessment of Fake in your comment without altering original copy. Otherwise, the rest of us cannot tell what was written.
Actually, what this poster posted was “Fake” since the headline does not come close to matching what CNN wrote.
CNN believes AP’s gone too far in playing dirty trick.
There were rumblings from some network that maybe they better get out of the Fake News business. Forget if it was CNN, I think I recall it was NBC.
Sheesh. So they can keep a supreme court nominee quiet but this crap leaks?
Think. Put on your propeller beanie. I will PM you what is up. Keep it close to the vest. I mean don’t leak it. No I really mean don’t leak this narrative I am creating. I mean really.... No.
;-) get it yet? A master of media, be it manipulation of any part of it, he left them powerless.
Bookmark for info to use against the likely liberal editorial comments tomorrow.
NBC did say they wanted to be the next FoxNews or something like that. How much truth there was in that remains to be seen.
I think the A.P. had access to some staff notes or something like that.
When the official notes came out, the situation had not been reported accurately.
Something like that.
Thanks
