Report: At Least 180 Federal Workers Planning to Disobey Trump Administration

President Donald Trump surely realizes that most workers employed by the federal government diabolically oppose his views of America.

According to a new report, at least 180 of those employees "have signed up for a workshop featuring expert advice on workers’ rights and expressing civil disobedience."  Also, dozens more federal workers have attended a support groups for discussing opposition to the Trump administration.

As President Trump settles into the White House, he will have to start examining ways to expedite his transition from the top down.  His agenda is nothing more than words in the long term if the people working for him fail to carry out his promises.  

Not showing up to work, taking extended vacations, filing worker's rights lawsuits, and obstructing the process in any way possible are just a few of the legal ways federal workers can bring President Trump's agenda to a halt.

From the CIA to the State Department, at some point, a mass overhaul of former employees from the Clinton, Bush and Obama eras has to happen.  President Trump can sign as many executive orders as he wants, but it will mean nothing in the long run if the people who stood behind him during the campaign are not serving him as employees.

There is an even better way. It avoids any litigation, etc.

You redefine their jobs so they are nothing more than clerks doing government work. Don’t sent them to get coffee for their boss, that’s personal, but call them in every time you want one xerox copy made. Continually send them on “snipe hunts” for nonexistent files, and be very critical when they can’t find it. Send them to walk to building two or three blocks away to deliver a memo that could much more easily been sent by email. A memos like: “Bob, in response to your question, the answer is very definitely NO.” Please do not discuss this matter with the bearer of this memo, as they are not cleared for this.” Then put memo in an unsealed envelope. Of course they will read it!

Call everyone in for a meeting, discuss one or two unimportant items. Then tell the idiot to leave and close door on way out for rest of meeting.

At first, one other person will think it’s funny how the bad employee is putting one over on the boss.... then they get the same treatment. It stops right there.

They become laughing stocks at work, their resume is FUBAR, and quit within 3 months.

Public unions were authorized by Executive order under Kennedy. They can just as easily be unauthorized by executive order.

It seems you’re referring to the “dissent channel” memo. IMHO, the “dissent channel” seems to be a very worthwhile thing to have — especially in the State Department, where there are probably few clearly “right” or “wrong” strategies.

So long as the signatories, having communicated their opinions about a policy, dutifully act to carry out any legal orders, when the final decision has been made — then allowing them to express their opinions is a healthy thing.

From other articles, I note that the “dissent channel” has been around since Vietnam days. It seems that it has proven its value.

As for the 180, conspiring to put sand in the gears and wrenches into the works — yes, fire them.

Federal unions were created by Kennedy by Executive Order. They can just as easily be eliminated by Executive Order.
