President Donald Trump is mourning the death of a SEAL Team Six member killed in his first military raid as president.
Trump and his eldest daughter, Ivanka, arrived at Dover Air Force Base this afternoon, after making the short flight to Delaware from Washington, to receive the body of Chief Petty Officer William 'Ryan' Owens.
Owens was killed in a pre-dawn raid last Sunday, in which officials have said 'almost everything went wrong.
It was Trump's first clandestine strike, and not one that had previously been ordered by former President Barack Obama.
Eight-year-old Nawar al-Awlaki, known as Nora, was also among the non-combats killed in the raid, which resulted in the death of several Yemeni women.
Owens was a 36-year-old from Illinois.

I guess Obama’s raids never killed women or children. I don’t remember seeing pictures of little girls in articles about Obama’s raids.
More media slime.
Tough job 13 days in. Glad he did it quietly and with respect.
all the dailymail ever shows is photogenic dead people (well, photogenic before they were dead anyway)
Obama preferred to use drones
Back a couple years ago he droned the 16 year old brother of the dead girl getting all the publicity
It’s tough on kids when their parents are al Qaeda members living in terror planning camps
Every day I love this President more and more. God Bless you, sir.

Apparently considered an American citizen because her father was.
Some here would say even a natural born citizen, eligible to be President, had she lived.
notice how President Trump holds his salute , in acknowledging the Marine guard
Sad a young girl was killed; however, she was probably close to the women who engaged the Seals in gunfire. It’s part of terrorists’ practice of embedding themselves with women and children, who the savages intentionally use as human shields.
What "officials" are these?
Typical leftist innuendo and exaggeration. When Bush was in power there was an official "death count." Some news networks closed with a pseudo-somber commemoration for the dead (which if they had lived, would be beat up, spit on, or possibly killed, if they showed up in uniform at the local eatery in some leftist hell holes.)
Where did these fake observances go, when Obama became president? Did American service men and women suddenly stop dying in battle?
Expect more of the same from the purveyors of fake news.
This kind of thing is so impressive.
He could screw up everything else today, and most people would forgive him, because this is so good. This counts. When was the last time Pelosi did something that counted?
According to Dems she still can even if she’s dead.
Not just Democrats, she is just as much a natural born citizen as Ted Cruz.
If I were at war with the US, and knew that special operators could come calling, no way my children would be anywhere around.
A human shield was killed. Who is really responsible?
The raid was a bust. It happens for many different reasons:
-The intel could have been too dated, or inaccurate.
-Someone at or near the target is looking in the right (wrong from our point of view) direction and spots the infiltration.
-The target departed for unrelated reasons.
-The enemy was able to feed disinformation and set up an ambush/trap
-Murphy’s Law kicks in.
What should surprise us is not that we have a raid/operation go bad, but rather how infrequently it happens. So infrequent that it’s news when something goes wrong. Hard training and professionalism go a long way to mitigate disaster, but friction and chance still play a role in success or failure.
El Chapo’s twins too.
Who are the “officials” claiming “everything went wrong”????
More than obozo ever did
May God bless Chief Petty Officer William ‘Ryan’ Owens and his family and the members of SEAL Team 6.
In the absence of any detailed information (apart from the single death), it is hard to say exactly what level of success the raid achieved.
"A bust" implies total failure. I'm waiting for someone in the know to make such a case.
