Are you sure your optimism is warranted? Maybe I don’t understand the differences between Congressional hearings and Congressional investigations. When Hillary was in that 11 hour hearing, was that an investigation? Some interesting things came out, but mostly it was Kabuki theater, with the Democrats using all of their questioning time to rehabilitate her. It didn’t seem very effective.
No matter how Congress investigated, Loretta Lynch was blocking the FBI from turning over the data. Trump now will have Sessions' delegate directing Comey to hand over evidence if any still exists.
