Hasn’t obstruction always been a Democrat strategy?

Then there's the case of the nominations of Dr. Tim Price as Health and Human Services secretary and Steve Mnuchin as the next Treasury secretary. They were scheduled to be approved Tuesday by the Senate Finance Committee and sent to the floor or a vote so that President Trump could get his government up and running.

But the Democrats didn't show. Literally.

Simple enough to defeat this.

Have one Republican re-register as a Democrat.

(mic drop)

They complain about bipartisanship, but never show any. Fact is, they're not interested in compromise, or in making the country better after losing a bitter and hard-fought election; they'd rather engage in acts of parliamentary sabotage to ruin a president just weeks into his first term. Political chaos, they hope, is their path back to power.

Definitely appears their strategy is the bolded section; this might play well with the base, but I don't see this being a winning strategy in 2018 or 2020. And with Trump not afraid to use the bully pulpit, I see Democrats accomplishing very little.

They keep calling it a stolen seat - if Hillary had won, she would have gotten to make the pick.....

Trump needs to continue bashing all the Democrats until they come down with Stockholm Syndrome.

Keep an eye on these Democratic senators from Red states up for reelection in 2018: McAskill (Trump won Missouri by 20 points); Donnelly (Trump won Indiana by 20 points); Manchin (Trump won WVA by 42 points); Heitkamp (Trump won ND by 36 points). They can’t act like this and pretend to be “conservative moderates” two years hence.

Why can’t the GOP members of these committees just call the meeting in session without the rats, vote on the nominee, and send it to the senate? If the rats don’t show, screw them.

Sanctuary cities. They are boasting of state sovereignty while breaking federal law to set up bases for invasion. They say they won’t pay taxes.

In the whiskey rebellion, people refused to pay taxes, and Washington sent in the army.

I say send the army in and take it. Let marshal law begin in California.

Democrats have always ranted and raved and Republicans have always folded like cheap suits.

This time is different and Democrats don’t have a Plan B. All they know is to throw tantrums, counting on the DBM to carry their water.

Trump is calling them out on it on a daily basis and he won’t be intimidated or cowed into submission.

The X factor is the rest of the GOP, who have never had the spine to stay strong. Trump not only has to battle the immature Democrats and the DBM. He has to keep his own party from bolting when the flack starts raining down.

Washington is broken because of the filibuster. It is a device to give 100 little hitlers power. All this crap about it being used to slow things down is BS.

They wonder why presidents use executive power. Because of the 100 little hitlers.

Democrats have far fewer ways to obstruct now, thanks to rules THEY passed to prevent Republicans from obstructing them. The irony is not lost on most that pay attention.

Not even 24 hours and the Democrats are attacking Niel Gorsuch’s mother.
