Trump administration signals that some bans on U.S. entry could be extended indefinitely

.....Kelly pressed forward with Trump’s plans to transform U.S. border policy, saying for the first time that some of the restrictions that caused confusion and sparked protests over the weekend could be extended well into the future.  Among the countries on the banned list — Iraq, Iran, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Libya and Yemen — many “are in various states of collapse,” Kelly said, and have poor record-keeping or unreliable police forces that undermine U.S. border officials’ efforts to determine travelers’ identities and criminal histories.

"Some of those countries that are currently on the list may not be taken off the list anytime soon," [snip]

The list of banned countries may expand; Trump’s order directed Kelly to submit within 60 days a list of additional nations whose citizens should be prohibited from traveling to the U.S. as well.

I thought they were on the outs because pudgy didn’t get a position?

How about extending them till 4020. Things should be good to go by then.

Sigh. This is the LA Times.

Of course there were problems, but this is to “fix” a big problem that Obozo created.

There will always be exceptions to these. But they can evaluate those, one at at time. Example: Christians in Syria (already mentioned), Some of the Kurd who fought against ISIS.

In those 2 cases, the best thing would be stabilize the situation. Ending ISIS and Nusra (al Qaeda) is the first step. Trump has always said he intends to do that. I suspect that is near at hand.

I caught part of that segment on MSNBC... Then the host went on to blather about how there is in-fighting inside the Trump WH...turned it off.

This will be accomplished with SOGs and on call air support.

OUr country will put cadres into the field who will operate like gangs against Boko Haram, Al Qaeda and ISIS.They will engage, destroy and move on. They will exr=tract and then pop up in new locations. When a high concentration of the enemy evolve, the US Air Force and Navy Air will obliterate everything within 2 miles of the enemy.

Once again you will see the Jolly Green Giants on station, along with what A-10s we have left, where armored vehicles are being deployed by the enemy.

Lets hope Trump will save the venerable A-10, one of the best battle AC in the world.

Whispering death is about to revisit the enemy and obliterate them from the face of the earth. The a$$ pucker factor will be so high and the Imams will be so constipated, Big League, they will not $hit for the next 20 years. Its true!

I didn't listen to it much. They gave an example that the son-in-law (Jared) had been missing from some of the meetings, and that he and Ivanka were trying to distance themselves from all the "chaos" that Trump created.

The MSM has tried so many things to bring Trump and supporters down. This sounds like the next tactic will be create dissension and divide and conquer...

I believe this could be true. Key is to look at the photos. Jared was everywhere. Is he still....he is a young new comer to an entrenched system from a very left wing family.

There will be a lot of stress and chaos that will have to sort itself out. It appears so far that bannon and kellyanne are coming out on top.

Bannon is a chaos warrior. He thrives on it. So does trump.

I'm actually glad to hear that. Jared Kushner has been on my radar screen for a long time, and the story a couple of weeks ago about him retaining Janine Gorelick (yes, THAT Janine Gorelick) as his attorney to advise him on conflicts of interest in his administration role was a huge red flag for me.

Kushner's father has been a major Democratic donor in New Jersey for years, and was largely responsible for the election of some of the worst sewage ever to bubble to the surface in this state -- like Jim McGreevey, for example.

It is called FUD in the tech industry. Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt. The rats only remaining approach to life now. People will see through it and it makes the stomach hurt after enough negative droning and echoing.

You have a point. No matter how smooth Jared is in Trump's businesses...this hysterical environment created by the left, sometimes violent....He has to be maybe a little shell-shocked.

Give him time, and he'll learn just like his father-in-law...plus Ivanka is pretty savvy also.

Jared Kushner may be a “senior advisor” to Trump, but he is all of 36 years old — so I’m pretty sure the rough-and-tumble world of political leadership is completely new to him.

It was Jared Kushner that took over the Trump campaign and won the election

He did not dell in the rut of “that’s how we do it”
