I did not find where these jobs were coming from, but 500 jobs is significant to the area of Longmont, Colorado.

I suspect, biasedly though, that this is more Trump winning and these jobs came from Mexico.

If you’re in the food business and you want to expand, go where the populace is inclined to have the munchies.

Back in the 70s Smuckers, Sprekels Sugar and a tire company used to be located in the Salinas, Ca. area. Then they were gone.

Wonder why Smuckers didn’t come back to the Salinas valley?

Good for the country.

Plus now I can feel patriotic when I buy their new Strawberry Jam with Honey. Great stuff on fresh hot bread with butter and ice cold milk. Reminds me of my Grandma in Michigan who made her own jams and jellies.

Rhetorical?

Why'd they leave in the first place?

Looks like your bias got the better of you. Smuckers appears to be building the plant due to increased demand. (And you know that if it was moving back from Mexico it would be trumpeting that fact from the rooftops).

“Once you have their new Colorado jam, you’ll want more....jam.”

Special ingredients...from Colorado!

I can just image if that ever happened for real, some employee sneaking in some pot oil (most popular in Colorado).

Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Where are they going to get the peanuts? Georgia is 1500 miles away. They do grow peaches in Grand Junction. That however is on the other side of the Rocky Mountains. They do grow hops for beer in Colorado. And Oskar Blues Brewry is in Longmont. I just don’t see where the ingredients will come from...that is for PB and J.

Uh, much like I didn’t see the source for your contention that the jobs were coming back from Mexico? I went to the Smuckers website, and numerous news articles. Not a peep.
