The former head of Boulder City’s animal shelter was sentenced Tuesday to 90 days in jail for needlessly euthanizing her own dog.
Mary Jo Frazier pleaded guilty in October to a felony charge of animal cruelty after admitting she killed her dachshund. She previously denied allegations that she euthanized animals for fun at the shelter.

OK, this is a domestic case involving property.
She did not own the dog unencumbered; the dog was the property of both her and her ex.
The accusation was that she killed the dog as revenge on her ex.
I am not sure where the “animal cruelty” comes in. Merely killing is not cruel in itself.
If that were true, animal shelter employees would all be in jail.
She killed over half the animals that came in since 2006 and they are just now bringing charges ? And you need a criminal investigation to prove it ? Hopefully that means this was a very small, one person shelter.
I’d check her background for missing people or babies in her past. Weirdos always start with animals, even though they were euthanized she clearly got off a little on putting them down unnecessarily ...a little bit nutty this one.

Most everyone in the USA knows that a massive # of dogs are killed at animal shelters each year. It is even a point of humor on half hour comedy TV shows. Most people who work at the animal shelters are horribly repulsed by the constant killing. A few shelters do not kill. Most do kill. Possibly, the boss lady at the Boulder shelter killed the dogs so the other employees would not have to. As to killing a shared dog in a disputed divorce: Boulder people are condescending elites. Boulderites are two faced jerks. Boulderites are highly educated socialist hypocrites. The female human should have given the dog to the ex-husban. Just a thought...the more a person kills...the easier it gets to kill again. It is just a simple solution to any problem. Beware the socialist elite.
