“The administration would be seeking to “deny admission to any alien who is likely to become a public charge” and develop standards for determining whether an immigrant can be deported after five years if that person receives a certain amount of public assistance, including Food Stamps, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and Medicaid.”
GREAT idea! We are $20T in debt. Even if we weren’t, why make taxpayers support someone who is incapable of adding to this country?
My mother had to have a sponsor when she came here, someone who guaranteed to support her if she didn’t support herself. Since when did freebies become the norm for immigrants?
Hopefully not. It’s a great idea! Brilliant.
Prop 187 in CA - no public assistance for illegals, no education and no healthcare other than emergency room.
Passed overwhelmingly.
when the lower court overturned the vote of the people, Gov Davis decided not to appeal it and we’ve been on the downhill slide ever since.
yup, that was the one opportunity to save the state - even the country by example.
I packed up and left last year, with no job and knowing nobody - found a rural conservative paradise in East Tennessee.
Think about it!
I love the Carolinas and my sister is south of Roanoke. Born in WV. But all of my kids and grandkids and my wife’s family is in Cal. We live in Oceanside and it’s only 1 standard deviation liberal with a lot of USMC influence and we look at water from our place. Guess I’ll die here, hopefully of old age. Best wishes.
I never knew “immigrants” sucked at the Giverment teat. Who knew? It is an affront to common sense that they would. It’s not like the MSM or the RINOlicans ever gave a damn about it.
How about: USA, No Vacancy.
Get over yourself
Deport them. Tired of paying out the wazoo in taxes to support illegal’s.
Get real.
The US needs a points system for immigration. They should be based on their age, work experience, their ability and the field of specialization, plus the demand in that field. Make it out of 60 points:
Language - Full English proficiency is 16 points, partial proficiency is 8 to 15 points, none is automatic disqualification
Education - Doctorate gets 10 points, masters gets 8 points, bachelors gets 5 points, certificate/diploma gets 3 points, high school diploma only gets 1 point
Age - Anyone 21 to 45 years of age gets 10 points, deduct 2 points for each year younger (0 points under 18) and 1 point for each year older (0 points for 55 and older)
Work experience in important fields (no, social welfare doesn’t count) - 9 points for 10 years or more, deduct 1 point for each year or portion of a year less (0 points under 2 years)
Sponsorship and job arrangement - A ready, full-time job in which he or she is vetted and approved, in a field in demand, earns 15 points. Points are deducted for the field (if it is not in demand). All jobs must be paid the same rate that a US citizen or permanent resident is paid (no shortcuts allowed). If there is no job ready and the field is not in demand or no field at all, disqualification.
Someone with 55 or more points would go to Priority 1, then Priority 2 for those with 50 to 54, Priority 3 for those with 45 to 49 and Priority 4 for those with 40 to 44 (minimum 40 points to apply).
Stop all immigration enough is enough.
