We never heard a peep of protest from Democrats against FDR’s internment executive order.
Partisan sour gripes.

If I recall correctly, travel to and from Japan during that time was prohibited. Are they saying we should of had open immigration with Japan during WWII? Are the Dems saying Trump is like FDR?

"How would we have acted if we lived in that moment?" Takano mused in a fiery House floor speech. You would have been 100% on board with it, and would have climbed on the truck willingly for your unscheduled vacation to an internment camp.
That's because the Japanese internment program was implemented in a DEMOCRAT administration.

Let’s put up a bill to legalize PURE Open Borders.
No checkpoints, no passports. Just show-up and you’re in.
Then let’s see how many Democrats will vote for it.

Yeah! Washington State's feckless governor when on tv the other day and tried to make the same claim. Youtube has the video.
This governor is the kind of guy who had his wife do his college papers and probably take his tests. I went to college with guys who did that as well.

Does Rep. Tanako ever stop to ponder the fact, that a Democrat president put his people in those camps??? He calls himself a Democrat?? How can he in good conscience identify with the party which perpetrated the act he decries????
To: ColdOne
They should know, since it was a Democrat who put that in place.

What a total and complete moron. If he wants to make a more valid comparison, it would be more like halting Japanese immigration into the United Stated during World War II.
Trump has not even suggested Muslim internment, nor has he suggested making this limited ban more than temporary.
Every time one of these morons throws a hissy fit, Trump should extend the order by 30 days announcing that "given the controversy this has stirred up, we need the extra time to consider more carefully how to best implement this temporary measure."

I would double down on that one. Say the US was justified in its actions then, and justified in its actions now.
