Alexandre Bissonnette has been accused of killing six people and wounding eight others in a “barbaric” massacre Sunday night at a Quebec City mosque, TVA News reports.
The 27-year-old entered the Centre Culturel Islamique de Quebec and opened fire with a rifle, shooting members of the mosque as they prayed, police and witnesses say.
He is in police custody and was being questioned Monday morning. He has been charged with six counts of first-degree murder and five counts of attempted murder, the Toronto Star reports.
Friends and those who knew him online said he had extreme political beliefs, but was not known to be violent. Eric Debroise said he called police after the shooting and told them Bissonnette is “very right and (an) ultra nationalist white supremacist,” the French-language newspaper Le Journal de Quebec reports. “He really liked Trump and had a permanent discontent with the left.”

I get the feeling that this must be the next best thing that the media wanted to construct their narrative on (compared to if this took place in Alberta or Saskatchewan and the perpetrators were WASP, that would have been perfect for them).

Something smells here. The victims and witnesses stated there was more than one assailant and they were talking to one another. My suspicion is the two of these were involved and the Moroccan guy agreed to this story in return for not being prosecuted.
Oh I get it. It is now open season on anyone who likes Donald Trump and dislikes immigration policy.
I suffer from clinical depression. That must mean I am a serial killer in the waiting, right, since other depressed people have committed murder?
Sucks more for us now in Canada. This will become event for the government to rally more gun control and more limitations on free speech. A bill is already in the works to combat Islamophobia.
