State Rep. Tony Tinderholt, R-Arlington, has been placed under the protection of the Texas Department of Public Safety after receiving death threats following his filing of a bill to criminalize abortion in Texas. "Representative Tinderholt and his family have received multiple death threats leading to his family being placed under DPS protection on multiple occasions," Micah Cavanaugh, Tinderholt's chief of staff, said in a statement Monday. "Specifics to the threats cannot be discussed due to an ongoing investigation, and we do not intend to speak on behalf of law enforcement." The threats began after Tinderholt filed his Abolition of Abortion in Texas Act on Jan. 11, according to his political consultant, Luke Macias. Under House bill 948, both abortion providers and women who receive an abortion could be charged with murder.

This afternoon I overheard a colleague who started in on her fear of the violence from Trump voters. I told her I was one and that it was the other side who was being violent. This is more proof.

Once you start killing babies, threatening to kill others gets easier.

The left is ready to kill people to get what they want.

The same people who said "give peace a chance" forty years ago. The same people who said "violence never solved anything" and "the pen is mightier than the sword."

Look what happens when things aren't going their way.

Politics. It was all politics, it was only politics.

All the fine words, all the beautiful songs, all the posturing, all the pontificating, all the preaching, all the virtue-signaling. It was all just political theater, designed to obtain a temporary advantage.

As soon as they want to advocate violence, to condone violence and hope for violence, it suddenly becomes virtuous to do so.

The peace movement was utterly dishonest. Just self-indulgent twaddle from useful idiots who were letting themselves be manipulated by foreign and domestic enemies of freedom.

Threatening the high sacrament of the political left - yeah, I’d say that protection is needed.

“Once you start killing babies, threatening to kill others gets easier.”

The Casey Anthonys who murder 4-year olds aren’t even as shocking anymore; now the paradigm is shifting to allow targetting of anyone who tries to protect children.

Democrats creep ever closer to declaring full-scale civil war on us.

As much as I deplore Abortion, perhaps we should start by resetting the Supreme Court Ruling of Roe,vs,Wade to it's original decision of the first trimester and then push from there.
It is my understanding that the Court's opinion was that since the Constitution is "Silent" on when life begins, than abortion is legal in the first trimester. And unfortunately due to the continuous pressure from the left they have convince their handmaidens on the bench to expand the ruling at every challenge.
I wish it were different, but it seems to be time for the slow push back to Sanity.

I doubt this bill will get anywhere but the idea that he’s getting such serious threats.

People willing to murder innocent babies for profit are surely willing to murder an imperfect adult who stands in their way. He should take these death threats seriously.
