Middle east Christians are a rather small community who are used to living under pressure. They will recognize a brother.
A State Department dweeb will never know the difference. A middle east Christian will know.
As others have pointed out, the State Department had no trouble identifying Christians to keep them out of the US, even sending Syrian Christians back who had managed to make it to the US. Muslim refugees have no trouble identifying Christian refugees and throwing them into the sea or murdering them in the camps or assaulting them in German streets. They know one another.

You are assuming an honest answer; that is a huge assumption.

What might work would be to ask specific questions that could not be answered by someone who was not acquainted with the New Testament, the life of Jesus, and the acts of the Apostles.
