I put my money on Sunni. They do this type of attack daily. The Shiites do plenty of terrorist attacks but generally not at mosques.

Yes, they did point out that has Facebook posts looked very normal, and that there were no signs that he was a political activist or cultist of any stripe, or that he had bizarre interests or expressed bizarre ideas.

Either it was some sort of intra-Muslim feud, or they were anti-Muslim and being sarcastic or mocking.

It’s all very fishy. I wonder if the Moroccan “witness who called 911” put the other guy up to it. They want attacks on other Muslims to justify their actions and to create a false narrative.
