Five people are said to have been killed after gunmen opened fire in a mosque in Quebec City, Canada, during evening prayers.
The mosque's president, Mohamed Yangui, confirmed the death toll and described the attack as "barbaric".
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Twitter: "Tonight, Canadians grieve for those killed in a cowardly attack on a mosque in Quebec City. My thoughts are with victims & their families."
A witness said that up to three gunmen fired on about 40 people inside the Quebec City Islamic Cultural Centre.
Another witness said a heavily armed police tactical squad was seen entering the mosque.

Whoever did this must be caught, prosecuted and executed. Now, why are there deaths suddenly BARBARIC and deaths of those killed my muslims are met with silence. I find that to be very interesting.

Amazing... is that two suspects have been in custody 3 hours.
And no reports on them.
No new reports in 3 hours on any aspect of the case.
This could be justified by the investigation, but it seems unlikely.

I’m guessing that Canadian prisons are a bit cushier than your typical American prison as described in the movie Office Space.
