A global backlash against U.S. President Donald Trump's immigration curbs gathered strength on Sunday as several countries including long-standing American allies criticised the measures as discriminatory and divisive.
Governments from London and Berlin to Jakarta and Tehran spoke out against Trump's order to put a four-month hold on allowing refugees into the United States and temporarily ban travellers from Syria and six other Muslim-majority countries. He said the move would help protect Americans from terrorism.
In Germany - which has taken in large numbers of people fleeing the Syrian civil war - Chancellor Angela Merkel said the global fight against terrorism was no excuse for the measures and "does not justify putting people of a specific background or faith under general suspicion", her spokesman said.
She expressed her concerns to Trump during a phone call and reminded him that the Geneva Conventions require the international community to take in war refugees on humanitarian grounds, the spokesman added.

“Global backlash grows against Trump’s immigration order”
Ahhhh. . .breaks my heart.
And this time I REALLY mean it!
They have all been flushed out as Anti-Americans. Cut off their foreign aid.
Eventually most of those Western countries in the “Global backlash” will have new leaders who are in the Trump camp. My guess is that over 50% of the citizenry of Western Europe are envious of us now.
Excellent and Point Noted.
Great news for Trump Team.
GO TRUMP GO!!
exactly!
What are they going to do, not send us their terrorists?!
So says the fake media.
Just another plus for President Trump. So far he has done a great job.
If they were, they would study our Constitution more and expound it even stronger than many of our supposed “right-leaning” politicians do. What the US has in that respect is unique to the US.

So? European nations collapsing under the weight of Islamic influence, and Islamic nations dont like it.
Notice how Japan, China, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, the Baltics, Greece, Italy, India, Russia, S. Korea, and Australia aren’t pitching a fit?

Well seeing this b*tch doesn’t like it, I can say that it is far beyond the correct thing.
Yep, the free ride is over ...and they’re not happy about it.
Sorry, we as a nation cannot accept the entire world here, to feed, house, educate and clothe them ... we just cannot do it and will not.
Our laws, and our sovereignty do actually mean something.
Who shives a git what the globals think. We are America. We are a sovereign nation. America is my home, it is not a “refugee” camp. Maybe THEY should take in these Islamic radicals themselves. If they don’t want them, they need to STFU. Why do they expect the American taxpayers to subsidize these cowardly “refugees”? If they won’t fight for their own country, they sure as hell won’t fight for America.
Skrew merkel.. She woudln’t recognize a threat if it had a smoldering fuse sticking out of it..
let the backlash countries take all of those wonderful peaceful families.... ALL OF THEM and their country, their whole country will become a no-go zone... the hole country. But they should stay calm and not loose their heads over it.
all that comes to mind.....an old phrase...el tougho $h!to0!
If you've lost Maher Chmaytelli and Lin Noueihed, you've lost at least two people you never had.
Oh no! Trump will have to cancel everything now darn it!
Do these “globalists” not get the meaning of the words “America FIRST”?????
