Trump Immigration Ban Still In Place Despite Court Ruling, Says DHS
NBC ^ | January 29, 2017 | Mark Hanrahan

Hours after a federal judge issued a stay on President Donald Trump's executive order temporarily restricting entry to the U.S. from seven Muslim-majority countries, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and a senior White House adviser issued robust responses, emphasizing that the order remains in force.

In a statement issued in the early hours of Sunday, the Department said: "President Trump's Executive Orders remain in place — prohibited travel will remain prohibited, and the U.S. government retains its right to revoke visas at any time if required for national security or public safety."

It added that the department will "continue to enforce all of President Trump's Executive Orders in a manner that ensures the safety and security of the American people."

The stay will prevent the government from deporting citizens from the affected countries that had already arrived in the U.S.The ACLU estimated that around 200 people would be affected by the ruling.

For travelers outside of the U.S. however, even those with valid visas, the ruling will not change the restrictions imposed on them by the order.

Of course it is - there was no question. This is all smoke and mirrors to embolden the opposition funded by Soros. God Bless President Trump.

The ACLU got a little too full of themselves by “winning” some temporary holds from no-doubt judge-shopped courts, with Obama-appointed judges.

Many news sites falsely reporting the judge’s ruling is being ignored. It’s not. The ruling only applies to a very limited number of travelers, identified here as about 200 people.

Permanent residents from these seven countries can’t return to the US without filing a waiver but Afghans, Egyptians, Pakistanis, Turks etc. no problem ? Something not quite right about that.

I am cool with all of this. Those refugees can go hang out in Germany while this is all hammered out. I don't like the idea of persons with valid work visas not being readmitted with out some due process. Even if granted by Obama's people, that leaves them unjustly in limbo. If you want to revoke visas do it through some process.

One important thing to note. Possession of a visa has never guaranteed entry. Evaluation of the veracity of a traveler's stated intentions is done by CBP upon arrival at a port of entry. CBP can deny entry.

It’s been widely reported that the kenyan was issuing green cards with no paper work. The system was totally broken. Having a green card holder appear at a consulate for an interview is no big deal.

The stinking courts DO NOT decide who can enter and who can stay in this nation. That is up to the government, whom ever is in charge of it. obammy brought in thousands of muzzies. Mr. Trump has the absolute right to send them right back out the door, they are not citizens of this Republic and are not subject to our protections under the Constitution. They are under the laws of their countries. If our laws say go home, they go home. Some bleeding heart commie liberal does not tell the government you have no right to protect the citizens of the Republic, you must let the terrorists in. No, Mr. Trump can order the HLS mob to shut down the borders. If they don’t do what he tells them to do, good you are fired. Go work for the bleeding heart liberal judge, but not for HLS.

Mitch McConnell is as useless as tits on a boar. We’re going into week two of the Trump administration and Jeff Sessions has yet to receive an up or down vote. Move it, Mitch!

Then there is Saudi Arabia, home of Osama bin Laden and many of the alleged 911 hijackers.

Maybe there will be some tweaking of the list. What we have is a good start.

Ironic that the list of countries among the “countries of concern” was established during the previous administration yet all the hand wringing will allow President Trump to say, “to remove any appearance of a conflict of interest we’ll be adding 10 more countries to the list.”

By the way, the corrupt media just can’t stop lying. This is not a “ban”, but a moratorium. There’s a difference. If they don’t know the difference, then they are stupider than I thought.

Saudis as well. What is up with that? Weren’t almost all the 911 hijackers Saudis as well as the biggest terrorist himself Osama Bin-Laden?? And they get to waltz in and out no problem? Trump is being a hypocrite if he doesn’t include that country on the list as well and I asked him that on Twitter last night

Trump is much more skilled at confrontation-negotiation than I am, but he does have about a million balls in the air at the present, so, here's a thought:

Maybe this should have waited until Sessions was confirmed and a few reliable men in his command structure were in place.

This is going to lawfare at lightning speed.
