Holy God,
Everlasting is a long time. So many things we encounter are temporal: there are beginnings and endings; and yet You offer us something priceless that is eternal. Your love never fails, Lord. We cannot earn it; neither have You asked us to do so. You freely give. You are our amazing God. Thank You for drawing us to You through Your lovingkindness and tender mercies. Thank You for sending Jesus Christ to share grace and truth with us, and to sacrifice His own life in payment for our sins. We exalt You and bless Your Name, faithful God.
Lord, we are grateful for the powerful beginning President Trump experienced during this past week. Thank You for a man who keeps his word and who remembers the promises he made during the election campaign. Father, we ask You to continue to be his Source for wisdom and understanding, counsel and might, for knowledge and for a reverence toward You. We recognize that there will likely be much criticism spoken toward him and his family. We pray that You would bear every burden for him and that he would be able to be at peace during these turbulent times. Please surround him with wise counsel of Your choosing, and may He seek You and Your will in all the decisions he makes. Thank You, Lord, for the Vice-President's presence and support at the March for Life. Father, please guide our nation back to a culture of life that honors You as our Creator.
Father, we know it is not Your will that any should perish but that all may come to repentance. We pray that our military men and women would not only be protected physically, but that they also would be drawn spiritually to You through the power of the Holy Spirit. We ask You to place people of faith in the paths of each one and that each would have many opportunities to hear of You and learn about You. Father, may their years of service be years in which they seek You and find You.
Lord, our nation continues to be culturally divided. Yet we know that each of us has a responsibility to defend what You have taught and to live lives that honor You no matter what the culture is speaking. Help us, Lord, to seek a higher level of life and victory through You; to be bold in standing for what is good and right, just and true. It is so easy to succumb to the lure of worldliness, to become weary and surrender in these culture wars. But let us not grow weary in doing good but continue in faith so that we inherit the promises. Help us to remember that we are citizens of heaven and not of this world. Lord, keep us strong and faithful until the day of Christ’s return. We ask this in the powerful Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Lord, You are the everlasting God who strengthens us when we are weak. You lift us on wings like eagles because you never grow weary. Bless Your Holy Name.
Father I confess my weakness and doubts. This past week has been amazing as I watched the tremendous amount of work accomplished by President Trump and his team. But I admit to doubts creeping in. Is it too much, too fast? Is he doing Your will? Is he getting good advice? Is Steve Bannon a Christian? Waves of anxiety have flooded my soul and so all night I poured them out at your feet.
Thank you for giving me peace and letting me see that Trump has a Father's heart toward America and Americans. He is acting in all ways possible with urgency to protect us. We have been in grave danger, most of it unseen. We are like a child who finds himself knocked to the ground by his father and reacts angrily until we see the truck pass directly over the spot we were standing on.
Help us to keep President Trump bathed in prayer and trust You to protect and prosper our nation through him.
These will be trying times for our police, military and justice Dept. God help them all to restore peace, justice and rule of law in our country.
We love You Lord. We thank You for Your many blessings.
