Well, he doesn’t speak or represent my Catholicism...he is a very flawed man, not TRUELY of Christ.

This is not helped by the fact that the Cardinals are making decisions based on very earthly criteria.
I’ve had a peek into some of the internal financial documents. The Catholic Church is cratering. Both in numbers of followers/Mass attendance, and in financial contributions. Evangelical churches are making HUGE
inroads into traditionally Catholic countries in Africa and Latin America.
They are desperate to do anything to reverse this slide. Whether it conforms to Church and Biblical teaching or not.
I don’t speak Latin.
Very few Catholics under age 60 ever learned it.
Because Jesus taught that the Church would prevail...always. Any one pope is irrelevant. There have been FAR worse popes, but the Church is still here, and still teaching the truth.
Maybe next time they should choose a Catholic for the Pope

I spent some very unpleasant time in some LATAM shitholes when liberation theology was at its apex and it wasn’t good for anyone. It wasn’t the least bit uncommon for adherents to liberation theology, i.e., catholic priests and nuns - a few of which are “no longer with us”, to cache weapons and other supplies for the FMLN, UDN, FARC and other Marxist insurgent groups. Those groups, in turn, used those weapons to murder tens of thousands of civilians and more than a few US and host nation soldiers.
The pope’s either intentionally ignorant or has his head up his holy ass!
