“Reagan would never have stood toe to toe with the press and told them exactly what he intended to do, let alone build a fence. Talk about it yes, but never build it.”

Quite possibly one of the most ill-informed things ever written, next to this article.

Amazing how most here are willing to wipe the history slate clean of Reagan for a few executive orders and a handful of tweets.

The base of modern America, the one the liberals have been attempting to tear down for the past 30+years was built by Reagan. The concepts that Trump is talking about and enacting (thank God) are tenants put in place by Reagan.

Reagan killed an entire political system (Communism) not with the help of the press or even most of our allies, but in spite of them.

Look, you like Trump, everyone here likes Trump. We all want him to succeed. But for the love of God, he’s not Reagan, he’s not even close to him. He has a four day track record.

Reagan deserves better than Wayne Allen Root, who only a handful of years ago was pushing football bets on Saturday afternoon, besmirching him.

Reagan is the greatest president of the modern era. Fours days of Trump, four years of Trump, will never wipe that out.

Thank you, RD. I completely agree with you.

Donald Trump is doing an amazing job. I'm beyond thrilled with what and how he's doing it. I look forward to him continuing to do amazing things. He is the answer to many prayers and the exact right man for this job at this time.

Ronald Reagan was the exact right man for the job at his time, and as you said, without Reagan, there is nothing for Trump to be making great again. None of this is meant as a slight to Trump, but it seems that many are slighting Reagan in praising Trump. I do not understand this.

Until you posted this.

Reagan was great but he accepted GHWB and that led us into 28 years of darkness. Whether you admit it or not.

His acceptance of Ted Kennedy's amnesty and successive immigration policy led us directly to the position we have today. We are close to a minority in our own country and that is not good because those replacing us have no interest in sustaining our Republic, neither does many of our current crop of politicians. California has shown us our future. All this traceable to Ted legislation and Reagan's accepting a lie. He often said a country that didn't control their borders was not a country at all. He was right and here we are.

Wins alone do not define a legacy and you can not ignore the damage that came about by those losses.

Trump shows great promise but it has only been a few days, the real test will come when he decides if he is going to keep his word on DACA and all illegals not just the felons. A lot of voters were single issue, count on it.

Can you point to any instance where Reagan stood toe to toe and called the media out?
