Exactly! Mexico is running around like they are in the stronger position. They get aide in many ways, a lot of their economy no doubt depends on good relations with the U.S. If you want to ruin that for 4 years for pride then go ahead. Other Presidents would be groveling, Trump is not “other Presidents”

If Mexico is unwilling to pay for the badly needed wall, then it would be better to cancel the upcoming meeting.

Agreed. Does not bode well for Mexico.

It’s probably actually closer to 600 billion if you include all of the drug money.

Go into any auto parts store and try NOT to buy a rebuilt part such as an alternator or water pump from Mexico.

Lock up that supply chain for a week and Mexico will renegotiate.

Mexico was stupid last night with that last tweet. Trump is not a diplomat with a diplomat's very careful speech.

That tweet last night, just caused their president major future humiliation when he has to cave, openly now, to save his country's financial future. There will be panic there today in their financial markets. This will be a very painful lesson for his people. It will also be a good learning curve for other world leaders when knowing what to expect from him.

Just wow. Never seen this before with international diplomatic speech.

If I was Trump, I would force Mexico’s hand as he is doing and make Mexico be the one to cancel the meeting.

Hey look we were willing to meet but if you want to be an a$$ and you don’t want to coooperate..don’t waste your time coming here.

Running a trade deficit with any country is stupid, with a third world narco state - humiliating.

Do not allow money transfers by illegals working in the US to Mexico; or any money transfers in fact.

Start deporting the millions of their mestizos who are here illegally. When Mexico is inundated with their own people coming back, they’ll be whistling a different tune. Border cities will save billions of dollars in the care, feeding, educating, medical care and incarceration of thousands of Mexican citizens that we have been stuck with by unconstitutional government decrees.

I am not sure people understand what a huge deal this tweet is.

You do not speak like this to other world leaders unless you are ready for war of some type. Mexico's president was trying to save face with his people and look macho, expecting NAFTA negotiations to go quietly, but his last couple of tweets all pretty much saying the same thing, this last one ended up being one to far.

Trump from a position of greater power, with his tweet has left Mexico backed into a corner now having to agree with Trump to go forward or die a horrible financial death when they hang on a thread anyway. Their whole economy is dependent on us, including drug money. He just threatened do destroy them unless they cave.
