Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg struck a defiant tone Wednesday against an executive order signed by President Donald Trump seeking to block federal aid to local governments that do not cooperate with federal authorities to track and report undocumented immigrants.
The Sacramento City Council passed an ordinance in 1985 prohibiting city police and other employees from asking about individuals’ immigration status. Steinberg said the city will not reverse course and will remain what is known as a “sanctuary city,” even under the threat of missing out on federal aid. He said the city will begin assessing how much federal revenue is at stake.

By then, Bracamontes, a Mexican citizen who was in this country illegally at the time of his arrest, was visibly agitated, muttering profanities as Barbour and Dawson tried to reason with him.
As soon as Fed funds dry up, fed grants stop getting approved, they will question their actions.
Maybe Trump needs to explain it to him again slowly using small words.

You are being far too kind. Darrell Steinberg is a capo POS who, after “running out his string” in the State Legislature, has now settled in as mayor of our state’s capitol crap hole. I’d love to see Trump jail him. He’s the West Coast version of this country’s “minority leader” in the US Senate, Upchuckie Schumer.
