I along with many other here march with the Tea Party in DC on 9/12/2009 and we remember the huge turnout. We left the place cleaner than when we got there. It's quite a different story with the recent Woman March On DC.
Are we related?
Bogie
Yup. And the idea that we would scream obscenities and throw rocks!
bump
Don’t know...maybe.
I was there too. And I was there on Saturday. What really pissed me off was that Fox News said they didn’t remember a march where the people were so nice. SAY WHAT? Nobody remembers, or wants to remember, that march. I don’t know why.
They also inflated the march of the screaming lunantics and lessened the numbers for the Tea Party Marches/gatherings.
I was there, also. The absence of media coverage, including Fox, seemed to follow the idea of “If it wasn’t covered by the teevee news, it didn’t happen.” I don’t buy the opinion that we caught the media by surprise.
I remember seeing Cokie Roberts with her children entering a nearby museum giving us a perplexed look that seemed to say “Who are all these people, and who cares, anyway?”
Yes, it was incredible and I was glad to show my daughters just what kind of great group we were in with.
Remember all of the helicopters going overhead all day? The military as well as the secret service knew the truth.
These women must have missed out on the Girl Scout experience.
hmm
I have been searching for photos post innauration of Obama vs Trump. I remember the Mall was trashed after Obama’s, but i haven’t seen any after Trump’s.
They certainly did THAT! Hubby and I got back to the hotel, turned on FoxNews, and heard that several THOUSAND marched in the Tea Party March! I was furious!
We went to the Tea Party big rally in WDC. There were 1,000,000-2,000,0900 people there. The only trash was in the containers (some were overflowing because the federal “workers” weren’t working that hard). The dishonest media reported only a couple hundred thousand there. LIARS.
While I’m sure the Trump voters are much more responsible folks than the Hillary voters I don’t think the Trump inauguration aftermath scene would be an accurate/exclusive representations of Trump voter behavior. I’m sure there were curious “big event” observers mixed in. When the Tea Party marched in 09 it was just us FR/Tea Party types and our families.
For all of the lefties spewing hate and loathing at FNC, I bet I do far more of that, than they do. FNC is crap and just keeps on getting worse and worse.
I was there as well and agree 100%.
This is typical behavior. On all the counter-protests I took part in down in Washington DC (specifically those like the Gathering of Eagles) the liberals would leave unbelievable amounts of trash and refuse...used disposable diapers, lunch detritus, water bottles, and most disgustingly, their signs.
On the bridge that crosses near the Lincoln Memorial (Arlington Memorial Bridge) we had our protest permit set for the large roundabout on the other side of the river, we could not only see them coming, we could see all the trash after they passed. Before the march actually began, in the staging areas the liberals had set up in, you could see the filth every where it lay after they dropped it.
To contrast that, when the major protest was initiated by conservatives (such as the 2012 March on Washington to protest the fiscal policies of the government) the assembly areas were clean (and in the area I was in, we actively organized teams to police our areas). As the protest ended, the signs and such were placed in the trash, and when the trash was full, the signs were stacked neatly around the trash receptacles.
Liberals just dropped things where they stood. Disgusting behavior.
It was a GREAT day, and I enjoyed meeting Freepers I’d only known online!
I was also there. At least 1 million, well-behaved, cleaned up after ourselves, and we didn’t dress up like lady-parts.
