A local Chinese restaurant here was shut down for a month or so after being raided by ICE. Seems they had all wait and cook staff from some foreign country..............

And the restaurants will, either way, try to automate as much as possible. And then what, all the nice little jobless illegal aliens for the rest of us to care for.

No thanks.

Getting “sanctuary” status should require them to post a notice of such on their front door and website so they can be easily boycotted.....

If a key component of your business model requires you to break the law on a regular basis then maybe you shouldn’t be in that business.

Anyone employing illegal aliens is committing a crime and should be prosecuted.
Anyone shielding illegal aliens from the laws of our country should be charged with harboring illegal aliens, a felony.

Not long ago I was having dinner in an Italian restaurant in my home town of Lafayette, CA with my mother. The owner was speaking Italian to his guests and the food was good, so I asked him where his cooks came from. The answer: Cuernavaca, Mexico!

Sure, go ahead and protect your illegal employees, but they won’t have jobs anyway when you go out of business because real Americans won’t support your law-breaking.

Precisely. I tire of hearing that businesses x, y and z can’t make it without hiring illegals. I’d make more money, too, if I decided to break the law on a daily basis.

I work in a restaurant in which every single employee speaks English as a first language. The owner has six restaurants and as far as I know, it’s the same in each one. You don’t have to break the law to make it in business.

If you’ve got to break the law to hire lawbreakers because they’re cheap, you need a new business model because that’s clearly unsustainable. Not to mention illegal. Wonder what they’re doing with the required tax withholdings for these people who are outside of the system? That’s a nice little trap they’ve set for themselves.

Is there some sort of Mental disorder that prohibits Liberal Journalists from typing the word “ILLEGAL”?

I know, Liberalism IS a Mental Disorder.

I recall something about that at one time the FED didn’t really want to ‘crack down’ because the illegals that were hired with phony SS #s and other ID would be working ‘on the clock’ with taxes and FICA coming out and NOBODY had the gonads to ‘claim it’ so the money just laid around (HA HA). Pols don’t really care where the OPM comes from, just so it gets into their hands/under their control.
