The headline on the front page of the Washington Post sure sounded impressive: More than 1,100 law school professors nationwide oppose Sessionss nomination as attorney general. Since then, the total has increased to 1,424 faculty members from 180 law schools in 49 different states.
With Senate Judiciary committee getting ready to vote on Senator Jeff Sessions confirmation today, the letter is being used as Exhibit A for many liberals arguing that experts view Sessions as unqualified and outside the mainstream.
But with 17,080 faculty members nationwide, perhaps the real question is why there were so few signers. Only 8.3 percent of faculty members signed the letter.

One can also experience this by sitting in on most lib arts classes.
Trump has got to put a pin-prick in the leftist education-industrial complex.
They are a major pillar of socialism, fed by government money and indentured servitude by students.
Ending the money train will force universities to focus on REAL subjects instead of BS ideology
End it and you destroy a power base of the left.
Remember one very important thing: NO ONE GETS ACCESS TO A SENATE HEARING ROOM - UNLESS A MEMBER OF THE “COMMITTEE” AUTHORIZES THE ACCESS - AND, THE PERSON WHO GETS ACCESS HANDS THE HEAD USHER A SIGNED PERMISSION SLIP. [It’s not just any Senator - they have to be a member of the committee meeting in that hearing room.]
How do I know this. I asked the Head Usher - when I went on a tour of the Senate offices in 2001.
So, the DemocRATS are the ones who allow all the protestors to come into these events - and they just sit there like they had nothing to do with it.
If your Senator is one of these DemocRATS, please let them know ... that you know ... they are responsible for these shameful actions.
This has “everything to do with not wanting a Republican attorney general who supports policies they disagree with.”
True. Some professors do not like a politician, because they disagree with the politician. As a result, law and order are thrown out the window and personal preference rules.
Yes, federal funds should stop going to colleges. The 28 Jesuits colleges should stop receiving federal funds and start lowering the tuition, attracting Catholic students and ask lazy professors to take a pay cut or leave.
It is so wonderful to see these &$&# whine and complain
The Democratic Party is merely the political arm of the education-industrial complex, which (at least on the primary and secondary level) is a perfect engine for transferring taxpayer dollars through union coffers on to their bought-and-paid-for politicians. They have commissars in every single school district throughout the nation, and like successful armies of the past they forage on the enemy’s turf. These unions just wasted a ton of money on Hillary and other Dems that lost, and can replenish it quickly from the same original source - US!
These rat bastards all knowing obamacare is dead continued to force Trumps guy into accepting the obamacare mandate. Real scum
There's nothing industrious about the left. It's more a combination of the bureaucracy and academia - the Bureaudemia (not a nasty kidney blockage but a blockage of the freedom of the individual)
I understand your point, but somebody is making the textbooks they revise every couple of years so barely-used ones have to be replaced...
