The U.S. Senate voted overwhelmingly on Tuesday to confirm South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley as Ambassador to the United Nations on Tuesday, as Republican President Donald Trump rounds out his national security team.
Ninety-six senators backed Haley, and four opposed her.
The only “no” votes came from three Democratic senators, Tom Udall, Chris Coons and Martin Heinrich, and Bernie Sanders, an independent who caucuses with Democrats.

Yes, we do need to get out of the UN, not sold on whether Haley is up to the job.
Good news is the job won’t exist for long.

Me neither. Shouldn’t be too hard with her gubernatorial experience. I know she was slammed on Morning Joe because of her lack of knowledge of international affairs. Is she’s good at taking direction, she should be fine.

She would never have gotten much foreign policy experience as Governor of South Carolina. Good to see that someone in the Republican Party is playing the long game for a change.

Doubt it. She will have to run for the nomination against Pence and he will probably eat her alive at a debate.
It is amazing how many people do not know that natural born citizen means born here of citizen parents.
One would think that after the disaster of the Kenyanesian Usurpation people would have learned that the founders were very wise to restrict the office of the President to only those who could only be Americans and nothing else.
Children of foreign nationals inherit the nationality of their foreign national parent(s).
If Nikki Haley’s parents had decided to return to India, she would have been an Indian citizen.

Besides that fact that she is not a natural born citizen and is ineligible. Her parents were Indian nationals at the time she was born. Children of foreign nationals inherit the nationality of their foreign national parents.
If they had returned to India, she would be an Indian citizen.
