Heh. A friend and strong Trump supporter doesn’t like them either. He said the Oval Office now looks “like a French bordello” :-)
It’s the ghetto paint job ( or is it wallpaper ? ) that the Obamas put on the walls, to match wee barry’s skin tone, that throws the whole thing off. If the walls were painted a nice, plain blue, then the room would all come together and look nice.
Perhaps your friend never noticed Obama's tacky maroon drapes, which President Trump just removed. They were hideous.
Personally, I think the Oval Office now looks much more dignified and stately. He'll likely soon add several more personalized touches to that office to suit his taste, which is no doubt, orders of magnitude better than Obie's.
