WASHINGTON (AP) -- As a candidate, Donald Trump made a slew of "Day One" promises that any president would find daunting.

He declared that repealing and replacing his predecessor's health care law would be "one of his first acts as president." He released an 18-point plan for actions that would push forward sweeping ethics reforms and potentially undo scores of regulations. And he promised to fundamentally change the nation's approach to immigration and begin work on an impenetrable wall along the southern border - all on his first day.

Let’s stop funneling government money to US religious organizations who are on the gravy train of resettling refugees in the US - resulting in the fact it helps the Democratic strongholds in US cities gain more Democratic voting immigrants, it creates Democratic voting strongholds of ethnic minorities, and results in the new immigrants going on public welfare after the religious organization supports them for a mandatory short time (like twelve weeks or whatever). Then the new immigrants bring in parents and other family members and they go on welfare, too. It annoyed me to hear that a new immigrant woman needed to be retrained to use her former skills in the US so the woman got free training to be certified as a paralegal - let’s not even consider the US students who would like to get free training as a paralegal. Train our US-born students first, give jobs to our US-born first. Why should our young people have to work in the local dollar store while foreigners come in and get cushion jobs?

Actually, this is only his first official working day.

The damage he did the left wing over the week was just his hello to the losers in America and the world.

I read that the rug he put in the oval office was actually Reagan’s rug.

It will be interesting to see if he orders a new one or leaves that one in place. Bush used it , too, for awhile.

Maybe Trump will outdo Reagan..not sure how you would judge that...but can’t wait to see how this plays out.

Thanks, I wasn’t aware of that move.

So far Trump’s symbolic moves have been excellent.

His real world moves have to be driving the rats and their globalist buddies even crazier.

I don't know if this one is a copy in his library or if the one in the WH is a copy. Obama supposedly paid for his rug so maybe that means he keeps to keep it. Not sure how all of that works
I just read online it was reagans rug..not even sure it is true. It was on Huffington post
