National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, and Corporation for Public Broadcasting are rather trivial expenses compared with the federal budget, but they are also unnecessary expenses. With a $20T debt, we cannot justify borrowing to pay for these and leaving that added debt to our children.

http://www.usdebtclock.org/

Debt per taxpayer: $166,000

I hope the Department of Education, the Department of Energy (except their nuclear weapons), BATFE, and most of the EPA are next on the list. Let’s cut the big wasteful bloated departments along with those three little wasteful luxuries.

What? TPP gone! Regulations to be cut by 75%? Corporations who move jobs to foreign lands will pay border tax? Tax cuts looming?

Somebody pinch me! I must be dreaming? We have a politician in office who will actually follow through with his campaign promises? This is all new to me!!!

President Barack Obama even accused Romney of trying to kill Big Bird in a campaign ad.

Quarter and fry that bird. ;-)

The various “means tested benefits”(welfare) programs, like Section 8 housing, TANF, WIC, food stamps, etc are spread out among over a dozen different agencies. Bringing them all under one roof would allow for the elimination of LOTS of federal workers. Implementing comprehensive anti-fraud measures, like facial recognition and iris scans to detect people applying for benefits from multiple addresses (how do you think so many afford steak and lobster on EBT?) would do even more.

The problem in cutting these budgets is the GOP.

When President Trump first was elected, he opened a suggestion website from the Office of the President-Elect and I jumped on that site and suggested killing the National Endowment for the Arts. I cited an article I wrote for the paper in Tucson concerning a march that was put on by Oprah and a bunch of other millionaires concerning Bush shutting down the NEA. Between that bunch, their daily salary could have funded their own endowment which could have given funding to any art they wanted to. easily.

But they wanted the common taxpayer to fund the NEA, so they could be a part of the arts and have some culture thrust upon them.

741 million in 2016, and is a small part of a host of budget reforms needed to cut more than a trillion a year from the federal budget
Nearly 3/4 of a trillion $ is a small part of a trillion? No wonder Washington can't balance a budget.
